“Advent by Candlelight” is a Ladies event sponsored by the Walnut Hill Presbyterian Church. Hostesses decorate tables inspired by the season and provide dessert to their guests while enjoying wonderful music and a message given by a woman of faith. This year’s speaker will be Suzanne Stelling the Director of Women's Ministries at Cedar Springs Presbyterian Church in Knoxville and the author of the "How He Loves", the Bible study our women did this summer. The men of Walnut Hill also participate in this event, but not as guests. The men of the church act as servers for the ladies, providing coffee and tea and doing everything they can to foster an evening of fellowship and seasonal joy.

Members and friends, Believers and Non-believers, all women are welcome to join us for “Advent by Candlelight”, an elegant start to the season honoring that greatest of miracles, the birth of our Savior.

Join us for a fun evening of fellowship and music on Sunday, October 20th! The meal is from 5pm-6pm and will be provided by the church, and the music will be from 6pm-7pm.

About the band:

“Gospel Grass is a gospel bluegrass ministry that has been providing a music ministry to the Tri-Cities area in Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia for over 25 years. Gospel Grass’s ministry is solely focused on the ministry of Jesus Christ through the organization’s love for bluegrass gospel. Gospel Grass is inspired by Psalms 150:6 that says, “Let everything that hath breath praise the Lord.’”

Join us for lunch and a trip to Stickley Farms (corn mazes, hayrides, FUN!!)

In case of rain, we will have a Funday at WHPC.

Ladies:  Put on your 'old clothes' and join us on Saturday, October 5, from 2:00-4:00ish in the Fellowship Hall for a Tie-Dye event!  Kim Parks will instruct us in creating a special design that she has selected for our group.  The cost will be $8 per person and will be collected at the event.  Kim will be taking care of getting the shirts as there is a prep step that she will take care of prior to the event.
